Trifilio's Update

We went back to the doctor again on Tuesday and he is doing somewhat better. The good news is he gained 2 ounces and his RSV is improving. The bad news is she thinks he may have another infection on top of the RSV which is not good. He still has a coarse wet cough and nose issues. If he isn't better by Friday we are heading to the hospital for chest x-rays. If he is all better by Friday then we go back in two weeks for a weight check.

We have to keep him away from public places etc. until his little immune system is back up to par. So we will be taking it easy for another week. We miss everyone in our playgroup terribly and can't wait to be back up and running.

Bella was finally able to return to school on Monday after two weeks off due to her Rotavirus and then being "contaminated w/RSV". She has a bit of cabin fever but feeling GREAT !!She is doing great in school and last week we had her Parent/Teacher conference. Bella by far is the best in her class and the teacher can't get over how she has such a huge vocabulary. She is doing great on counting, memorizing songs, shapes and colors. But number and letter visual recognition is going ok she knows a couple of both, but we will keep working on it. Her favorite word of the week is "delicious". I have no idea where this came from, last week I gave her a carrot muffin and just looked up and said it was delicious. Funny story from last night..I know bad parents but Bella was in bed with us. With Frankie's breathing treatments sleep is so precious and we didn't want to deal with the fight of putting her back in bed. She cuddled in between us and rolled...then sat up and yelled "Daddy your sticky!" SO FUNNY !!! Frankie was quite put out since he had just taken a shower. Can you believe she will be 2 in just a couple of short weeks.

My little man...I love him SOOOO MUCH !!! and it breaks my heart that he isn't feeling well. But each day since better than the last. Developmentally he is doing excellent rolling over both ways, grasping toys, talking etc. We started formula last week and thankfully the transition is going well. He is still nursing 2-3 times a day, but bottles the rest. We also started cereal and baby food. He isn't a fan of either but we keep trying. Unfortunately pears failed the allergy test, but squash past! YEAH!!

Keep us in your prayers and I will keep everyone posted.

My little man's 4mth stats
11 lbs 3ounces (negative 3%) and 24 1/4 in length (25%)

getting ready for school :-)

As I've said before, keep your head up. God is watching over you and your little man. You'll both be so strong from this bout of illness. Sounds like both your kiddos are developmentally way ahead of the curve, so congrats on that.
